To ensure a magnet can stick to your car, check if the surface is made of ferrous metal, such as steel, which magnets adhere to best. Most car doors and hoods are made of steel, but some parts might be aluminum or plastic, which are not magnetic. You can verify this by using a household magnet on different sections of your car to see if it holds.
Yes, the corners on some of our car magnet sizes can be rounded. The radius of our corners is 1".
To select rounded corners, just look for the shape option in the print checkout.
The most popular car magnet size we print is our 24" W x 12" H or our 24" W x 18" H.
Magnets are not always shipped flat, so it’s best to lay them flat on the hood or roof of your car in the sun for a few hours before use. This helps evaporate any moisture that may have accumulated during shipping and ensures the magnets maintain a flat shape. To further preserve their flatness, store them in a flat box or on a flat surface at all times, handling them only when cleaning or installing.
Keeping your magnets clean on both sides is essential, as well as ensuring the surface where they will be placed—such as your car door—is free of oils, dust, dirt, and other debris. When not in use, store them indoors, in a cool, dry place away from the elements, and always keep them flat. To clean them, use a soft, moist cotton cloth with water; avoid abrasive cleaners. Do not store them standing on their sides, as this can cause them to warp and prevent them from lying flat on your vehicle.
Note: To prevent issues caused by prolonged heat exposure, remove the magnet once or twice a week and store it indoors in a cool, dry place, laying it flat until you need it again.
