Whether you represent a corporate law office, a dental clinic, or a local church, professional letterhead is a must-have for any serious organization. For both print and digital communication, well-branded letterhead inspires trust, builds brand awareness, and makes an immediate impact on how credible your company appears.
To illustrate what a difference letterhead makes, imagine receiving a job offer, medical bill, or legal notice on plain white printer paper (or in plain email text). That feeling of confusion and disbelief is exactly why well-designed letterhead matters so much! While some marketing materials could be classified as “wish list” items, letterhead is truly essential.
At MyCreativeShop, we make easy to create your organization’s letterhead right from your own computer, even if you have no graphic design experience at all. Just choose one of our beautiful letterhead templates, customize it from your browser, and order premium prints with fast shipping. Professional branding couldn’t be easier!
Letterheads are an important aspect of your overall corporate identity, and you won’t have to settle for a so-so design. All of our templates have been created by professional graphic designers, and they run the spectrum from playful and creative to solid and corporate. Our template library is packed with options so that you can easily find the right aesthetic and layout for your stationery needs.
To get started, simply browse or filter through our library and click on any letterhead template you like. It doesn’t matter if the colors aren’t exactly what you need or if the layout isn’t quite in line with your brand guidelines. With just a few clicks in our drag-and-drop editor, you can make all of the changes you want:
If you have strict brand guidelines or a very clear creative vision, you can also start with a blank template. You can refer to one of our ready-made templates as a great letterhead example even while creating yours from scratch.
You’ve probably seen sample letterhead made in word processing programs like Microsoft Word. So what makes our online letterhead maker different? For one thing, our editor comes with tons of resources at your disposal: professional templates, creative fonts, high-res stock photos, and interesting patterns.
Since our editor is completely drag-and-drop, it’s simple to adjust the layout, insert images, and add new text boxes anywhere on your company letterhead template. You won’t have to worry about aligning your text just right or figuring out how to configure full-bleed printing. And instead of printing your letterhead and later adding text in Word, you can do it all in the same place at the same time!
By adding custom text or making small design changes, you can create specialized stationery for different uses:
The quickest and easiest way to create these letterhead variations is to first build your main letterhead design. Once you’re happy with how it looks, just click Duplicate to create a new file and make further changes to the base design. Just like Word, we’ll save your work-in-progress so that you can come back any time.
Once you’ve finished customizing your letterhead, you can print with us for quick shipping right to your door. Our letterhead is offered at the standard 8.5” x 11” paper size, with two options for paper type:
Depending on your organization’s needs, you can order as few as 50 copies and as many as 25,000. Our prints are professionally done and quickly shipped, with a satisfaction guarantee.
If you already have a print shop that typically handles your business accounts, you can easily have your new stationery printed there as well. Rather than place a print order from the editor, click to download a print-ready PDF (including full bleed, if necessary). You can take this PDF to any professional printer or even print a letterhead sample at home.
From selecting a template to ordering prints, MyCreativeShop will help you fly through the entire letterhead design process. All you have to do is choose a company letterhead example from our large template library, click on it, and finish your design in minutes.

A letterhead is the heading or design at the top of a sheet of letter-size paper. Most letterheads include the sender’s name, address/contact details, and company logo. They may also feature a background pattern or utilize the space on the sidebar or footer for more details and designs. The word “letterhead” is often used to refer simply to the entire sheet of paper, instead of just the header itself.
The letterhead you design should represent your company well and be appropriate for the industry space you occupy. Keeping your branding strategy in mind, browse our catalog of letterhead templates to find one that meets both of those criteria. Open your chosen template in our online editor and switch the existing color palette to match your brand colors, then replace placeholder text with your individual name, contact details, and company name. Swap the sample logo (if applicable) with your own. Update or remove any other text that may appear in the template, such as a slogan or motto, and change the style, size, or color of the font. If necessary, easily add or replace shapes, icons, arrows, and images with just a few clicks. Once you’ve finished your customizations, give your project a final onceover to ensure nothing was missed. Now you’re ready to print!
Tip: Often times companies will create a letterhead that leaves a majority of the space on the design blank. This allows them to write on it with a pen or run it back through the printer when they have content they want to include. Useing our online editor, you can design the letterhead and type out the content as needed. This would be similar to Microsoft Publisher or Microsoft Word, but with way more design control.
A standard letterhead size outside of North America is the A4 size (210mm x 297mm). Within North America, though, standard letterheads are printed at 8.5” x 11”. The letterhead design (or branding area) often occupies one or more of the following spaces: the header, footer, or left sidebar. There may also be other elements of the design surrounding the text. There is not a set standard for branding area size, but you should always ensure that the content of your letter can be easily read and that the letterhead design doesn’t detract from it.
To print your finished letterhead, click the “Print/Download” option in the online editor or jump directly to our Letterhead Printing page. Select your quantity, paper type, and delivery options, then place your order. We’ll deliver top-of-the-line prints right to your door and guarantee your satisfaction! If you’d rather do it yourself, you can download a high-quality PDF at any time by choosing the “Download” option and print your letterhead absolutely anywhere.
